Professor Richard M. White

whiteRichard M. White is a professor emeritus in the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Sciences and a Co-Founding Director of the Berkeley Sensor & Actuator Center. Current research interests include wireless microsensors and energy scavenging devices for use in electric power systems and a portable particulate matter monitor for measuring concentrations of airborne aerosols and diesel exhaust particulates.  Professor White conducted microwave device research at General Electric before joining the faculty of the University of California, Berkeley, in 1962.
